Getting to Villa Malavolta
Villa Malavolta is easily reachable from downtown. We're located at the Due Strade which lies between Porta Romana and Galluzzo. To have a look where we are, click here to see a map.
By Bus
The closest bus stop is MARIO ORSINI on bus line 11, which is 300 meters (950 feet) away, or SENESE 09 on bus line 36 or 37, which is 350 meters (1100 feet) away. The buses run every 10 to 25 min from 6am until 9pm and the ticket is €1,20 (on board €2, exact change). If you feel like walking, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Vecchio are 2,5 Km (1,8 mi) and 3 Km (2 mi) away and will take about 45 min to get there.
By Taxi
Taxis are another option but it could be an expensive treat. A ride to downtown could cost you between €12 and €20 depending on traffic conditions, distance and time of day. Having a car does not give you much of an advantage, since most of downtown Florence is closed to private traffic from 7.30am to 7.30pm.
By Car
To reach Villa Malavolta by car, the easiest and fastest way is from the A1/E35 Motorway (or "Autostrada del Sole") exit "Firenze Impruneta" (formerly "Firenze Certosa"), following these directions upon exiting the highway. This is a 5min to 10min drive depending on traffic conditions. Please, check our detailed car directions page here.
From Florence Airport
Getting to Villa Malavolta from the "A. Vespucci" airport (Florence) is easy. There is a bus running every 30 min from 5.30am to 11.30pm for €6,00 one-way and will take you to Florence' central railway station in about 20 min. Another option is to take a taxi which will cost you about €20 to €35 depending on traffic conditions, time of day and number of bags.
From Pisa Airport
To get to Villa Malavolta from the "G. Galilei" airport (Pisa), you need to take either the Terravision bus (about €4.99 each-way) or the Autostradale bus (about €7 one-way or €12 return). Both buses will take you to Florence' central railway station in about 70 min. Alternatively, there is a train service from Pisa Centrale to Firenze operated by Trenitalia (about €7,90 for a second class ticket one-way).
From Florence Central Railway Station (Firenze SMN)
